Millennial Pink – Pink Outfit

The color is not just pink, but millennial pink. But why? What does millennial pink mean?

Not that you think, wow she knows a lot about color ranges and all that stuff. No, it is not. I also had to be instructed that it is not just pink but millennial pink. But what does it mean?

It is a hard-to-describe pastel, a mixture of salmon, apricot, and rosé with a slight amount of gray. The name owes its color to the millennials, the so-called generation Y, which appeals very strongly to them. You can see it quickly on Instagram or Pinterest, where the color is a big hype.

But I never thought that I would ever wear such an outfit, completely monochrome in pink or rather in millennial pink. The last time I had the pink phase was as a kid. After that, I rejected everything that has the color pink. Honestly, in my teenage years between skateboards and Avril Lavigne, the color had for me, this Barbie-touch. And I wanted to be cool as a teenager and not a Barbie. But now I have developed a certain sympathy for this color and for some stylings that earlier used to be a No Go for me. Luckily. I think many of us do not wear the same outfits as we did 10 years ago. But never say never. I also never thought that I would run around from head to toe in pink or in millennial pink.

How about you? Do you have also something which was a No Go for you in your earlier time and today you have it in your wardrobe?

What do you think?
