Trends inspire me and I love to make it to my own thing. But sometimes they also challenge me.
Last week we already had it about the „Good-Mood-Colors“ and what they can trigger in us. Yellow is one of them. It spreads good mood and summer feeling. Although summer is slowly coming to an end. Nevertheless, I would like to try to live up to my purpose and give my outfits a little bit more spice. And with this intent, I have it not difficult this year. Because of thanks to the ever-growing clientele that comes from regions that have no or other seasons as we are used to from the West, the fashion designers pep up their autumn-winter collections. Now there are not only harmonious natural colors, beige and gray tones and discreet classic patterns such as pinstripes and checks, but spring-like floral prints and colorful dresses.
These colorful shades are also among the trends that are not always easy to combine. Especially since they can be worn together with so many different colors this year.
So here is a short style guide to the trends and how they can be worn:
For all shades such as yellow, orange, red, purple or green, the all-over look works. That means from head to toe in the same color. However, for some, this is probably too much. Why I recommend combining these tones with natural colors such as beige and gray or white or black. For the more daring among you, you can try a color-blocking and wear red with pink or green with orange.
Another trend that also challenges me and belongs to the category “eccentric”: Super shiny materials – like my plastic coat. The shiny glossy clothing is rainproof and washable, perfect for muddy weather as we have it sometimes in Switzerland.
Here, less is more. I only wear one piece in this material – that’s pretty much the most important rule for me. In everyday life, I recommend wearing this piece with neutral colors. For the daring, it can also come with something colorful.
I’m attracted to such challenging trends. Because they awaken in me the urge to make this trend on my own. And that’s what drives me and what I love about fashion. This was the reason why I want to wear this two difficult combining trends, a black patent coat with yellow pants, and to do it to my own. My personal result from this: challenge accomplished 🙂
What about you? What is your biggest challenge in clothes and fashion?
