When a piece of clothing scratches my skin, it is usually an indication to me, that chemicals have been added. That’s why it’s important to me, to wear clothes that are as free as possible from harmful substances. Not only during the day but also at night.
The slip dress by moya kala, a small Swiss company, consists of the material Cupro, a biodegradable textile fiber. This fiber cannot be processed into cotton yarn, which is why it ended up in waste. However, a process was developed to manufacture knitwear with it. The material for the high-quality lace was sourced from the Swiss manufacturer Bischof Textil.
The dress is extremely light and comfortable to wear on the skin, which automatically affects a relaxed sleep. Sustainable loungewear and underwear for women are sewn in a small family business in Bulgaria or, like my slip dress, produced in Switzerland.
