Loungewear – not only for home office

Only wear comfortable clothes at home – this credo does not exist anymore. The loungewear trend has catapulted itself from its own home out onto the streets.

A few years ago, many designers turned the baggy couch look into chic jogging suits. However, since 2020 when the home office has been the order of the day, the trend has also conquered the streets. The loungewear trend can wear for a walk outside or a visit to the supermarket.

In combination with jewelry and an elegant coat, as I wear it, it is also a perfect companion for meeting friends for lunch or for a business meeting.

The entire outfit is from the wonderful shop “the stories” in Lucerne. For them, it is important to have good quality from sustainable brands. Next to clothes and jewelry, you can find other beautiful items such as various household goods or selected pieces of furniture.

More about the brands I wear:

sun+her

Paulina, and Urte are the people behind the brand sun + her, based in Lucerne and Lithuania. They create wonderful pieces made of linen. Their mission: combine sustainability with “slow living” and the intention to live as sustainably as possible. All materials will be chosen carefully and every single piece is handcrafted in their atelier in Lithuania.

Wildthings

The Balinese label «Wildthings» is inspired by the most diverse places in the world, by art and nature. The sketches are made in Amsterdam. Afterwards, the pieces are created by local men and women in Bali. Fair working conditions and the health of the employees are very important to the brand, why they receive fair salaries, maternity leave and access to daycare. The silver pieces are made from 100% recycled silver and 60% recycled brass.

Machete

The sustainable jewelry and accessory label Machete is based in Atlanta, Georgia. Their products are made from natural and renewable materials such as bio-acetate and cellulose acetate. The metals are made from recycled brass and the ear studs are made from hypoallergenic stainless steel, sterling silver, or solid gold. The pieces of jewelry are kept in tailor-made and environmentally friendly zippered bags.

Ifeelnut

Ifeelnut is a label from Bilbao and was founded in 2012. Their collections should show positivity, naturalness, and versatility. They are a small company and produce exclusively in Spain. This enables them to control every item of clothing and to know every person involved in the process.
