You would never want to take off clothes made of velvet. A trend fabric that is versatile and changeable.
In the past, velvet was made exclusively from silk. Today it is woven from materials such as cotton and viscose. My velvet pants with the name “HEDI” from the Hamburg label Jan ‘n June are made from 100% certified organic cotton. The material grew in India, was knitted and dyed in Portugal, and designed in Hamburg. For each product, all process steps are precisely declared and listed. In this way, the consumer knows how and where the pieces were made.
More details about the company can be found directly on the Jan ‘n June website and as well on my post “sustainable winter fashion“.
Based on the soft material and the wide cut, the pants adapt perfectly to the body shape. The trousers can also be used and worn in a very versatile way. An everyday option is a combination of sneakers, an oversize blouse, and a leather jacket. Those who like it in a chic way can combine the pants with high heels and a crop top. But there is still plenty of options for further styling possibilities.
